Yes! It’s time to step in.
The bird may need assistance if it:
- Cannot fly or run away when approached
- Appears unconscious
- Is tangled, trapped, or stuck
- Has visible bleeding or injuries
- Is limping or unable to stand
- Is in
immediate danger
Call us at (719) 485-4444 ext. 3001 before bringing the bird in for guidance on safe transport.
No, this animal is okay on its own.
If the bird:
- Is flying and walking normally
- Runs or flies away when approached
- Has
no visible injuries
Then wild is best.
If the animal appears healthy and alert, it is likely fine on its own.
