(April 19, 2023) – The Nature & Wildlife Discovery (NWDC) is pleased to announce that Nate Timme has been hired as the new Full-Time Maintenance Technician. Nate (He/Him/His) has a passion for environmental stewardship and a commitment to providing our community with a safe and engaging space in which to learn about nature.

As our Full-Time Maintenance Technician, Nate works diligently with our Maintenance Director to ensure NWDC’s campuses and facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained for all guests. His ability to self-initiate and self-direct workflow, manage multiple tasks and projects, and work well with diverse groups of volunteers makes him a valuable asset to the team. Nate also brings experience operating trucks, tractors, and other equipment necessary for snow removal, building, grounds improvement projects, and general use.

When he is not working, Nate can be found exploring the beautiful trails in the area with his dogs, or volunteering with local organizations that are dedicated to conservation and sustainability. Nate has always loved the outdoors. In fact, he has been coming to the Pueblo Mountain Park with District 60 since he was a child. He completed his Eagle Scout project at the NWDC River Campus in 2020, during which he led a team of volunteers to improve the grounds and enhance the visitor experience. His love for the outdoors and his commitment to the community make him an excellent fit for our team.
