November 2023 – Ranger Ramblings

On Thursday August 8th, the Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center team had an incredible staff retreat at the Mountain Campus!

After two days of single digit and sub-zero temperatures, a dedicated group of birding enthusiasts got outside on December 24th.

While many aspects of nature slow down in the colder months, we can still observe the many creatures that are still out and about.

August 21-24 marked the return of the Outdoor Explorations Program to the NWDC River Campus for the 2023-2024 school year.

A highlight of the past month for me was hiking with a group of kids from the Boys and Girls Club to the top of Lookout Point.
