All over the state of Colorado, state parks are offering various ways for people to get outside to kick off the new year!

We can all feel that the crisp air of winter has officially settled in. Animals are hunkering down and plants are entering dormancy to conserve their resources until warmer conditions return. But from tomorrow until midsummer, we can rejoice knowing we will have increasingly more hours of light each day, gradually bringing the promise of brighter, longer days ahead!

At the Mountain Campus, Scrub oaks all throughout the Pueblo Mountain Park are beginning to turn orangey-gold.

The days are growing longer, the air feels a little warmer, and the landscape is coming to life with new growth and returning wildlife.

GROW WILD combines nature exploration with supplementary lessons in science, math, language arts, and social studies.

Our Vulture Day celebration on Saturday, September 2nd was a huge success with interactive exhibits for everyone to enjoy!
