Jasper

Great Horned Owl

An unfortunate incident left this great horned owl in the custody of Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Because he was missing his right eye, and had extensive tissue damage to the right wing, the agency recognized that he would never be successful in the wild. As a nonreleasable bird, he would need to be found a home. When our center was contacted as possible home for Jasper, we were more than happy to make room for him. Jasper joined our staff in Spring 2014 and has a busy life as an education bird.
