National Take A Hike Day… Hike!

Join Ranger Hazel our River Campus naturalist November 17, on National Take a Hike Day! An annual event created to get you outdoors for some fresh air, scenery, and exercise. Take a scenic walk across the river and prairie trails, get that heart pumping and breath in the crisp fall air while Hazel interprets the local landscape. You never know what you’ll find out on the trail!
Hike Difficulty: Easy-moderate
- Check the weather and dress accordingly! Wear good hiking shoes.
- Trails are generally in good condition, but do have rocky uneven sections.
- Family friendly
- Bring water and a snack
- This is a non-smoking hike.
*Please note that registration is required to secure your spot. Walk-ups are welcome but are not guaranteed a spot on the hike in the event that maximum program capacity has been reached. This policy ensures the safety and well-being of program participants.
*Cancellations requested 14-8 days before the program start date will be fully refundable. We are sorry, but we cannot give any refunds when there is a cancellation 0-7 days before the program start date.
*Weather Cancellation policy: In the event of inclement weather, we may have to cancel this event. Registered guests will be notified ASAP and a refund will be issued.
