AVAS 4th Saturday Bird Walks

BIRD WALKS ARE BACK!

Join the Arkansas Valley Audubon Society at the River Campus each month on the 4th Saturday for an enjoyable outing to view and identify a variety of birds.

UPDATED SUMMER TIME:

• Bird walks will begin at 8am in:
  • June
  • July
  • August
  • September
• We plan to start at 9am in October through the fall, but will update this page if that changes.

Optional ‘Big Sit” at every 4^th Saturday bird walk

Those who can’t or don’t want to walk can sit comfortably in one place and let the birds come to us.
If you plan to stay for the “Big Sit” please plan to bring:

• A lawn chair
• Hat
• Sunscreen
• Insect repellant
• Water
• Binoculars (We have some extra ones if you need them, thanks to wonderful donors!),
• Be prepared to sit quietly and watch. Others can continue on the regular bird walk.

Meets at the Riverfront Deck:

• Registration not required.
• Suitable for families and birders of all levels.
• B.Y.O.B., Bring Your Own Binoculars!
• This program is free of charge. Donations always appreciated!
• $5 Parking pass fee required for River Campus/Raptor Center facilities and programs
