May 2023 – Ranger Ramblings

A highlight of the past month for me was hiking with a group of kids from the Boys and Girls Club to the top of Lookout Point.

It sometimes takes awhile for students to realize the human impacts on the river, such as personal use and growing crops.

This fall, our Earth Studies students got to see incredible biodiversity firsthand on their first trip of the year to visit us!

On Wednesday morning, we met our campers at the River Campus before heading to Lake Pueblo Archery Range to practice shooting archery.

After two days of single digit and sub-zero temperatures, a dedicated group of birding enthusiasts got outside on December 24th.
