The goal of T.E.N. is to help teachers promote student understanding and appreciation of science and the natural environment.
On June 20, 2023, total of 14 people attended the walk at the NWDC River Campus. Everyone appreciated the additional walk and the earlier start time of 8 am.
The Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center recently partnered with the Pueblo Zoo and the Buell Children’s Museum for nature programming.
The bird walk on May 27, 2023 had 24 participants who in total identified 24 different bird species.
Turkey vultures—gross but loveable creatures—have returned from their annual migration south for the winter!
The Nature & Wildlife Discovery (NWDC) is pleased to announce that Nate Timme has been hired as the new Full-Time Maintenance Technician.
We observed many trees that had been chewed and knocked over, and with the recent snow even some beaver track!
The March 25, 2023 AVAS Birdwalk had 8 participants. A total of 22 bird species were seen and/or heard.
