The 2024 Winter Solstice Celebration was, without a doubt, our biggest and best yet! We were thrilled to host over 250 community members who bundled up and came down to enjoy a FREE evening of festivities with us at the River Campus.
Muki is one of our beloved Earthkeeper Nature School learners! He and his family benefit from an NWDC youth program scholarship to help with his annual tuition.
There’s nothing quite like witnessing a wild animal return to its rightful home. Even more powerful is the chance to be part of that journey. Four fortunate audience members had the opportunity to do just that at our wild owl release on Monday, October 7, 2024.
Our 2024 Vulture Day Celebration on Saturday, September 7th, was a fantastic success! Always held on the first Saturday in September, this year’s event brought together a wonderful crowd to celebrate and learn about vultures and the vital role they play as nature’s clean up crew.
Last Friday evening on September 6th, NWDC and the Pueblo Zoo partnered up to present our latest “conservation collaboration” at the Rawlings Library, bringing a meaningful educational experience to the community.
Artists for Nature invites Colorado artists to participate in a juried exhibit supporting nature education at the Nature Wildlife Discovery Center. All styles of nature-inspired 2D and 3D artwork will be considered.
