Our Five-Year Strategic Plan
The Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center is proud to announce the completion our five-year strategic plan! This plan is the culmination of over a year of dedication and hard work performed by our planning team, which comprised of board members, staff, and partners at The Civic Canopy. In order to be as inclusive and equitable as possible, our planning team welcomed and considered input from NWDC members, patrons, and community stakeholders from Pueblo, Beulah, and beyond.
This strategic plan gives NWDC and its many stakeholders greater clarity about the organization’s health, values, vision, goals, and strategies for improving organizational health and better serving the life and land surrounding us during 2024 – 2029. While we face many challenges both locally and globally, we are positive that together with volunteers, partners, and supporters of all kinds, we will co-create a more beautiful future for both human and nonhuman residents and visitors in Southern Colorado. We are grateful to everyone who has assisted and supported us so far, and we will do our utmost to convey these sentiments during the implementation of this plan in the coming years.
