DSCF0002Sticking with our annual tradition, we’ll be hiking off the holiday calories with a hike along the late autumn trails of the Mountain Park. Please join us for a nice dose of nature as an antidote to the busyness of the holiday season that is getting underway!

Hike Difficulty: Moderate

  • Dress to be outdoors. Wear good hiking shoes.
  • Bring water and a light snack.
  • Trails are generally in good condition but do have some rocky, uneven sections. 
  • Moderate elevation gain. Mileage (2-3 miles)
  • This is a non-smoking hike.

*Please note that registration is required to secure your spot. Walk-ups are welcome but are not guaranteed a spot on the hike in the event that maximum program capacity has been reached. This policy ensures the safety and well-being of program participants.

*Cancellations requested 14-8 days before the program start date will be fully refundable. We are sorry, but we cannot give any refunds when there is a cancellation 0-7 days before the program start date. 

*Weather Cancellation policy: In the event of inclement weather, we may have to cancel this event. Registered guests will be notified ASAP and a refund will be issued.

A lifelong outdoorsman, David Martin (AKA Ranger Pine) has been an Environmental Educator at the Pueblo Mountain Park for the last decade. His passion is connecting people of all ages to Nature. Although his time is mostly dedicated to executing the elementary level education programs and camps at the Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center’s mountain and river campuses, he also writes, teaches and guides hikes on the side, most notably guiding seasonal forages for wild mushrooms and medicinal herbs of the mountain and canyon west.
