Project Learning Tree Educator Community Workshop
What is PLT? Project Learning Tree is an international program that uses the forest and plants as a “window on the world” to increase students’ understanding of our complex environment; to stimulate critical and creative thinking; to develop the ability to make informed decisions on environmental issues; and to instill the confidence and commitment to take responsible action on behalf of the environment.
WHO: Preschool, elementary teachers and principals, providers of informal education (Nature Centers, zoos, museums, parents, grandparents, guardian(s), Boys and Girls clubs)
WHAT: Activity-oriented workshop with FREE PLT materials you will take home
WHERE: Nature and Wildlife Discovery Center, River Campus (Yurt)
WHEN: Saturday November 3, 2018. 8:30am-4:30pm.
HOW: Please click REGISTER NOW! Initial cost is $30 to reserve your spot. $20 will be refunded upon attendance. LIMITED to 25 participants
Please bring a sack lunch, water bottle and dress to be outside. We will be both indoors and outdoors exploring the beautiful Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center River Campus.
