An Afternoon Winter Hike

With Sandy Christensen

January 29, 2017

Maybe there will be snow on the ground, maybe there won’t. Either way, we’ll be out along the trails, seeing what the land looks like in late January. If there is enough snow we will bring out the snowshoes!  Dress warm and be ready for fun and exercise.

Hike Difficulty: Moderate

  • For those in fairly good hiking condition.
  • Trails are generally in good condition.
  • Mileage (2-3)
  • Moderate elevation gain.

Leader

Sandy Christensen
A veteran Physical Education and Health Educator of young children through seniors,  Sandy brings her extensive world traveling experience to all that she does at MPEC.  Also known as “Ranger Sandy” she is a part of the Earth Studies team at the Mountain Park Environmental Center. She leads the ” Zukes” Dog Hikes and you may find her guiding you while attending an MPEC program. Sandy’s great love for Nature (and her knowledge of our bioregion)  contributes to her leading style and we are sure you’ll enjoy any program where she is the lead!
